Gibson Hummingbird Standard VCS Vintage Cherry Sunburst
Introduced in 1960, the Gibson Hummingbird is one of the most distinctive and beloved acoustic guitars ever made.
A big part of the Hummingbirdâs appeal lies in its versatility. No matter how you attack this flat-top, it pumps out rich, deep tones and is equally at home strumming chords or stealing the spotlight for lead playing. Its spacious mahogany body and sweet, Sitka spruce top are more than capable of laying down the rhythm in the hands of a rock ânâ roll sideman or accompanying the most nuanced performances under the fingers of todayâs alternative singer-songwriter.
The Hummingbirdâs mahogany neck has a comfortable Rounded profile and pearloid parallelogram inlays. In addition to a Vintage Cherry Sunburst finish, this âbirdâ also features Grover Rotomatic tuners, the iconic Hummingbird graphics on the pickguard and is equipped with LR Baggs VTC electronics, so itâs ready to plug in on stage or in the studio. The guitar comes in a hardshell case with a TFOA passport.
