Martin Custom Shop D28 Guatemalan Rosewood 2016
Martin's Custom Shop has created something special with this 2016 D28. The combination of a Guatemalan rosewood body and an Adirondack spruce top is rare and produces a sound that is both powerful and detailed. Add to that the beautiful Diamonds & Squares and herringbone inlay, and you have a dreadnought that is not only a delight to the ear but also to the eye!
The Guatemalan rosewood used for the body is a special choice that distinguishes this guitar from the standard rosewood D28. This beautifully grained and resonant wood gives the guitar a clear, open tone with beautiful overtones and more definition than some other rosewood types. The Adirondack spruce top, treated with Vintage Tone System, provides a sound that immediately feels mature and lived-in!
This 2016 D28 has a few small dings and signs of wear on its top and the back of the body. Additionally, some minor cracks have appeared in the lacquer along the bindings of the backplate due to shrinkage of the binding material, particularly in the waists. Nevertheless, it looks clean and is in excellent condition.
Comes with TFOA passport in a TKL hardshell case.
