Richard Hoover from SCGC and Tony Rice collaborated many years in producing what is known to be one of the finest contemporary bluegrass guitars.


Tony Rice is a more than famous Bluegrass guitarist. Tony demanded a guitar that above all is balanced and therefore owns a legendary guitar from Clarence White. A Martin D28 from 1935, a very typical instrument, with enlarged soundhole that provides the balance Tony needed.


Richard Hoover of SCGC and Tony Rice have collaborated for years on the production of what is known as one of the best contemporary bluegrass guitars. The Tony Rice Professional Model is further refined to offer the same specifications as those used on Tony Rice's personal guitar. Quality rosewood seen in the finest vintage instruments and Sitka spruce are the materials that effortlessly produce the grand dreadnought sound.


To improve playability, a 25.4 inch scale length and Tony's slim V-shaped neck profile ensure fast and effortless action. The wood species and intelligent design make this instrument the typical contemporary bluegrass dreadnought. In Tony's own words: "This is a guitar you can go into battle with". Comes in a hardshell case with TFOA passport.
